The survey was conducted by Sonoro Audio, a German audio manufacturer that will soon be selling its widgets in the U.S. Survey says: 39% of respondents’ audio-entertainment time was spent listening to FM radio, 23% of the 560 respondents surveyed listened to MP3 players and 18% preferred CDs. Overall, 57% of audio time was spent listening to AM, FM or Internet radio. Which if my math is correct means that 18% of the radio listening was split between AM and Internet. This bodes well for radio but I doubt that it will get you that Lexus dealer you were pitching…

Thanks to Joe McCoy for informing us of the passing of former radio newsman Keeve Berman, 71. Keeve passed away on May 19th as the result of a blood clot traveling to his brain. Keeve, died in a Florida nursing home. Keeve was our news director at WOR-FM but his resume also included KQV Pittsburgh and 10 years as an ABC American Contemporary Network newsman. The thing that I remembered most about working with Keeve Berman was his great sense of humor. Jeff Roteman’s KQV website wrote this terrific tribute to Keeve….R.I.P. my friend…The city of Boston is once again the sports hotspot of the country. The Celtics are serious playoff contenders again after beating Cleveland on Sunday to advance to the NBA East finals, the Red Sox are in first place in the AL East and last night, 24-year old cancer survivor Jon Lester pitched a no-hitter against Kansas City at Fenway Park. It was the first no-no in baseball in 2008. The last no-hitter? Well that was pitched last September 1st by rookie Clay Buchholz, another Red Sox pitcher.
