Radio Joins The Fight Against Cancer…

We’ve all been touched by cancer.  Just yesterday I visited a dear friend in the hospital who is fighting for his life, still another victim of cancer which seems to be as common as a cold these days.  For one hour tonight (8 - 9 ET) ReachMD XM 157 joins major TV networks ABC, CBS and NBC in simulcasting the ‘Stand Up To Cancer’ research fundraising event…

Prior to the TV coverage, ReachMD XM 157 will broadcast exclusive interviews especially for physicians, nurses and their patients to hear updates on cancer research and this innovative research grant program.  Following the special, ReachMD will report on the progress made by the ‘Stand Up To Cancer’ research model and their scientists to see how this effort is paying dividends in the research and academic community…

All the stars assembled for the TV coverage of this one-hour fund raiser have been touched by cancer: Jennifer Aniston, Sidney PoitierTerrance Howard, Katie Couric, Charles Gibson, Brian Williams, Meryl Streep, Scarlett Johansson, Forest Whitaker and more.  They may all be stars but you know something, they’re no different than you and I when it comes to the suffering that accompanies the loss of family and friends that we all experience every day of our lives.  We need more research fund raising events like ‘Stand Up To Cancer’…
