Number One Source For Music - Again…

A new Rasmussen Report  shows Radio is still the top choice for those who listen to music.  By a margin of 17%, radio leads the number two source - CD’s, 42% to 25%.  The survey, conducted at the end of August sampled 1,830 music listeners - a sizable number.  The remaining 33% of the music sources were no surprise…

MP3’s followed with 14%, satellite radio 9%, computer listening only accounted for 8%, listening to a tape deck was a minuscule 1% and turntables didn’t even register that high.  Police radio had more listeners.  Downloading results were surprising and at times comical…

Of those surveyed only 30% download music while 69% never download.  Of those that download music 90% do not subscribe to a music service.  Here’s the comical part - only 3% admit to downloading illegally and here’s more comedy - 26% aren’t sure if they’re downloading legally or illegally.  A word to those on the fence, if you’re not paying for it, it’s probably not legal.  And apparently the economy has affected concerts - one of the least popular summer activities according to the report…
